Remember: Most of these songs are "Music Video's", Just click on the "Video" Icon located on the flash player

I was advised against releasing this demo("MR210") as a potential mixtape for multiple reasons (track count, copyright protection). Some tracks could definitely be left out from the mixtape, in order to comply with the "demo package" requirements. Ultimately, I will take the advice from many (other musicians/ artist, music lawyer, friends, etc.) and just make a demo, then later... A mixtape, that will be released. So for now MR210, as I knew it, will not be released...

For more updates please stay tuned...

Bay Rules

Hood Quake

(Originally on www.mrrobinson.tumblr.com 7/15/2010)
This was the first beat I actually finished before three in the morning (3A.M.), in well... At least year. I had finished homework early, watered my lawn, cleaned, cooked, and had nothing else to do… Thanks to the spider nest, and little spiders that were crawling all over my studio set-up causing me to move everything out. Their little asses are gone now… Thank you Raid!!

Due to the spider situation, I had to go with my “mobile setup”. This beat was sequenced in Apple’s Logic Studio, via “External Instrument” I used my Open Labs Miko for the synths. I used Motu’s BPM for the drums in Logic Studio, BPM is a fine plug-in!! I especially love using it in Pro-Tools 8, I like it better than Reason because its basically a Digital or Plugin version of the Akai MPC and Roland MV-8800. Yea I will probably not be needing a hardware sampler-sequencer any more. I can sample, and lay down drums like I would an MPC, with any DAW of my choice (Logic, Pro-Tools, Cubase, etc. Nuendo is nice!!!).

After making the beat, I tracked out to Pro-Tools because RTAS processors are the shit!! Especially the ones that come with Pro-Tools!! Hi-Pass, Low-Pass, Compressor, Limiter, Bounce. I have a little bit more than two weeks left in this Summer semester. I will have maybe a three week break, then I have to go back to school for Fall semester. During my short break I’m planning on making at least four beats a week, because Fall is going to be a real B!%$h. Keep tuning in!! And there you have it Mr.Robinson Beats “Hood-Quake”.

Hit The Block

Made this track for one of my recording classes last semester
(Final Project... Got an "A+"). I really like it, and very seriously
considering adding it as an intro. This version however is the “stock”
version, a second version was produced with added synth’s, a pad, etc.

Originally this track was created on Propellerheads Reason 4,
nevertheless I love using multiple DAW’s (#madscientist).
So the second version has synths from Logic,
and “Xpand”/ Pro Tools 8.Hope you enjoy!

Bay Hustle

This instrumental was produced using Apple Logic studio (my favorite), with audio samples that was chopped using Sony's SoundForge. The name "Bay Hustle" came up after the track was completed, when I realized that I actually had time to produce anything! With work, an album, beats for other projects, and College in the way there is no time. "Constant work" was the "Moto"... Is the "Moto"!

Although this track was completed in time to be added to the @$IR Tumblog, or the official Mr.Robinson Tumblog, it wasn't. I kinda wanted to keep this in my back pocket maybe for the up coming "ESO Group" Demo, although now I have much different plans. Now I believe this would be a great addition to the MR210 Album...

Record Track 2

The "MR210" album is set to release the end of March 2010, so my plan is to make as many beats as I can, and buy as many beats as I can. Then pick and chose which one will be included on that album, save the remainder for another album.

(“MR210” The album was originally started on Christmas day 2009…)
Anyway, this is the second track I’ve ever made using Propellerhead’s Record DAW. This track was made two days after Christmas, 12-27-2009. I could literally write a hefty book on why Record is the death of Reason, another great, legendary music software. All I have to say, now I have the ability to implement external sources of audio into that typical, “Home-sweet-home” feeling of Reason! I almost know Reason like I know the back of my hand, Record is the same!
“I’ll ride or die for Logic and ProTools, Record is next on that list”

@$IR Loop

Welcome to my new 'Ish!
Premier post, so I'll start it off with a original loop that I also used for the @$IR Tumblr blog. This blog will definitely be a change-up from what I usually do... Which is present an instrumental I made, talk about it, add a pic, and call it "the day".
I will be doing that, just much more in depth, and better directed, or planned. "Bump your head once" is all I need anyway.

O.k. This track was produced using multiple DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations, or Music creation software for those who don't know). Apple's Logic Studio is the staple of my whole workstation/ studio, which is what I used to mix this track. Both Propellerheads Record, and Reason (used in tandem) was also used in the making of this track. Drums were added from a past ProTools 8 track I made in 2009, by the way I found AIFF's and WAV's less stress on the "CPU".

There will be more ideas that will be implemented, and more content added...
Im looking forward to adding new material, and even implementing a "Sound Kit" store, while offering free downloads to sounds, refills, templates, etc.
